How it Works
The RADIAL TENSIONING SYSTEM (RTS) redirects, transfers and distributes the effort used in opening the umbrella throughout the entire canopy surface. The RTS creates a strong, aerodynamic umbrella with no sharp points - the Blunt umbrella.
A Blunt is opened by sliding the advanced Push/Pull runner upwards. This action is similar to a conventional umbrella. The Blunt differs by creating optimum tension in its canopy in a revolutionary new way.
As the Blunt canopy unfurls the additional DOUBLE STRUTS redirect the user’s effort into the specially designed FLOATING RIBS. These ribs are telescopic, and reach out like fingers stretching into a glove. They transfer the opening force into the patented BLUNT TIPS on the end of each rib. The tips then open like miniature umbrellas in their specially designed pockets, evenly distributing the tension right to the edge, where it is most needed.
